This weekend was packed with new things!
First of all, Germany won the UEFA match on Friday and although I never (honestly) ever watch the football, I feel embarrassed to admit that it only took me half a bottle of cider to yell at the German players when Greece was granted a penalty kick.
After a big shop on Saturday morning, I actually managed to follow through with my French cooking plans. I made trout stuffed with potatoes and red onions in a lemon marinade. Yum! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture BUT you can see my chicken dumpling soup pictured above (another recipe from Little Paris Kitchen). It was super-tasty and such a quick dish to cook (40min including prep. work and I still have some leftovers).
I also went back to That’s Entertainment, a shop on Bold Street and bought two albums – Robert Plant & Alison Kraus and Eric Clapton – for only 5 quid! (Last of which was one of my dad’s first CDs, so it carries special memories for me.) Besides that, I am currently getting to grips with my new Blackberry 9800 which I “won” on eBay last week (153 quid – not a bad deal).
Today, my friend Nikola joined me for a lovely walk through Sefton Park. As we turned into Lark Lane, we got greeted by this cute little fella. I bumped into cat no.2 on my way home. He lives a few streets away from my house and mistook my jeans for a cat tree. (Ouch.)
Hope you all had a good weekend! x
